FIELD: materials handling machinery; chemical, food, construction and other industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed screw conveyor contains housing with screw and shaft. Housing is provided with charging hopper and discharge branch pipe. Vibration exciter is installed from side of drive. Vibration exciter mechanically coupled with screw shaft is made in form of driving and driven bevel gear wheels installed coaxially and idler bevel gear wheel interacting with said wheels. Teeth of driving and driven gear wheels are made on wavy pitch surface. Idler gear wheel is provided with device for translational displacement along axis of screw shaft. Said device is made in form of slider, carrier and worm trains with controllable worm. Slider is arranged on carrier. Carrier is installed for turning around screw shaft and fixing by means of worm wheel. Cyclic axial displacement of screw is defined by form of wavy pitch surface of idler gear wheel and driving and driven gear wheels in meshing with idler wheel. Compression spring is installed between carrier and gear wheel for power engagement of gear wheels. Invention makes it possible to change interaction of component members of vibration exciter and set optimum parameters of screw axial displacement at handling materials of different physical and mechanical properties. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities of screw conveyor. 1 dwg
