FIELD: medicine, epidemiology, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: method for isolating tuberculosis mycobacteria from air medium involves washing out sample from surface by cotton tampon wetted in physiological solution, treatment of tampons with 10% trisodium phosphate solution for 24 h, centrifugation, sowing in Levenstein-Jensen's medium and incubation at temperature 37 C. Sample is taken by directed impact effect using air jet on clean surface of sterilized Petri dish. Invention provides high effectiveness in isolation of mycobacteria and their detection in air of curative-prophylactic institutions. Invention can be used for detection of tuberculosis mycobacteria in air medium of antituberculosis institutions. EFFECT: improved isolating method.
