FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: resin-impregnated endless belt for long nip press of shoe type has base structure impregnated by polymeric resin material, which renders belt impermeable to fluids, such as oil, water and air. Polymeric resin material forms layers on inner and outer sides of base structure. Inner layer is smooth and outer layer has primary grooves for temporary storage of water pressed from paper web. Primary grooves are separated by land areas, which have secondary grooves extending transverse thereto to relieve stresses, which give rise to flex fatigue and stress cracking. EFFECT: increased efficiency in pressing out of water from fibrous web and prolonged service life of belt. 21 cl, 4 dwg
