FIELD: redox reaction catalysts. SUBSTANCE: selective decomposition of N2O in nitrose gas mixture is effected in presence of catalyst consisting of porous ceramic support and catalytically active phase, said support consisting at least to 95% of one or more alkali-earth metal compounds. Proposed catalyst is preferably applicable in nitric acid production process.
