FIELD: mechanical engineering, chemical, aviation and automotive industries. SUBSTANCE: given process includes loading of saturating mixture containing inert filling agent and saturating filler and articles into reactor, its sealing, filling with inert gas, heating and thermal-diffusion treatment under continuous mixing. Articles are loaded into reactor heated to temperature of thermal-diffusion treatment, vacuum is created in reactor in process of heating of articles and inert atmosphere is formed in reactor which is then filled with saturating mixture from additional container tightly joined to reactor. On completion of thermal-diffusion treatment saturating mixture is separated from treated articles at temperature of thermal-diffusion treatment and is transferred into additional container, then articles are unloaded from unsealed reactor and cooled. EFFECT: development of universal process of thermal-diffusion treatment displaying increased adaptability to machining of articles and making it possible to decrease labor input and electric energy consumption. 7 cl, 1 tbl
