FIELD: feed production. SUBSTANCE: gelatinized feed product comprises 80-98% of animal or marine raw material preliminarily treated with KOH, and/or NaOH, KHCO₃, K₂CO₃, NaHCO₃, Na₂CO₃ or (NH₄)₂CO₃, and 0.5-5 wt% of alginate or pectin and standard feed components. This product may comprise 0-10 wt% of fish flour or hydrocarbons. Raw material for preparing of feed product comprises animal or marine material preliminarily treated with alkaline until pH of said material is 8-12. Method involves mixing raw animal or marine material comprising offal, alginate or pectin, as well as calcium source and standard feed components; grinding said mixture into pieces of any suitable geometric shape; treating said pieces with acid in bath; before adding alginate or pectin, preliminarily treating raw material with alkaline; forming resultant mixture into granules of desired shape and treating in acid bath with following obtaining of gelatinized product. Acid bath composition preferably has pH value of 0.5-5.5. Acid treatment time is from 30 s to 12 hours. Formic acid is preferably used as acid bath. Though resultant product has high fat content, it may be kept for a long time without flowing of fat. It comprises minimal amount of alginate, which does not deteriorate its gelatin strength.
