FIELD: railway transport; mechanization of track facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at removing or laying switch units or track skeletons. Proposed cantilever track laying machine contains cantilever boom-low mounted on self-propelled platform car with load-lifting equipment for gripping and vertical displacement of switch units and furnished with vertically movable supports. At least two vertically movable supports are mounted one after the other on end of cantilever part of boom being movable along boom for in-turn resting on ground bed between bars of switch unit. Supports mounted in middle part of boom are furnished with wheels to rest on track rails between bars of switch unit when track-laying machine is moving. Track-laying machine platform is equipment with step drive. Design version is provision of vertically movable supports on end of cantilever part of boom with wheels for resting on temporary base whose length corresponds to length of switch unit to be replaced. Wheels are provided in middle part of boom to rest on rails between bars of switch unit when track-laying machine is moving. Invention makes it possible to form track-laying machine in which boom can be relieved from load, its rigidity is increased, force acting onto support part of track-laying platform is reduced, turn-over moment relative to support part of platform is eliminated and switch unit can be displaced without side limitations.
