FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: soil slitting tool has tine, detachable knife member and chisel fixed on tine lower edge. Detachable knife member is made in the form of flexible rope or rod. Rope ends are fixed on chisel and additional bracket by means of retainers. Length of flexible rope or rod is equal to doubled arc of chain line covered by equation of S=a•sh (y/a), where s is arc length counted off from tine mid portion to detachable knife member retainer on chisel or bracket; sh is hyperbolic sine; y is ordinate in rectangular coordinate system YOX; a is parameter of chain line (length of flexible rope section whose weight is equal to thread tension component constant throughout the entire length of slack arc b, c, d). EFFECT: reduced draft of slitting tool, improved quality of slits, increased efficiency in soil slitting and loosing, and reduced power consumption.
