FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying controlled distraction and fixation of bone by means of Ilizarov apparatus. Distraction to 60% of required value is fractionally carried out at daily rate of 1 mm/day and then stretching is equal to 1/6 mm/day until the prescribed elongation is achieved. EFFECT: reduced risk of traumatic complications; optimum conditions for producing full-valued regenerate.
