HYDRAULIC CYCLONE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2167002 C2

FIELD: chemical, petroleum refining and food industries, cleaning of natural and sewage waters. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention is designed for separation of liquids under action of centrifugal forces. Hydraulic cyclone has housing with inlet branch pipe and outlet branch pipes for clarified and heavy fractions, conical insert arranged inside housing and provided with truncated cone adjoining smaller base of insert, and central pipe connected by channel with outer surface of insert. Shape of housing is turned-over truncated cone with inner curvilinear screw-like conductors connected by branch pipes with receiver of large- size hard particles fraction. Spring guides are installed on inner surface of conical insert. Guides are formed by compressed cycloids. Clarified fraction outlet branch pipe is made in form of conical elastic insert with vibratory traps on inner surface in form of dovetail which are connected by outlet pipe with receiver of small-size hard particles fraction. Elastic insert is suspended from housing on shock absorbers. EFFECT: provision of high efficiency of separation of suspensions. 5 dwg
