FIELD: metallurgy; continuous hot galvanizing units for galvanizing cold-rolled steel strips. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes preheating of galvanizing unit followed by immersing it in zinc melt; prior to preheating, silicon organic varnish with reinforcing fillers is applied to non-rubbing surfaces which is dried for at least 3 days; submersible equipment is preheated to temperature of 190-410 C and is kept at heat for 3-4 h. EFFECT: enhanced resistance of submersible equipment; improved quality of galvanizing. 1 tbl, 1 ex
