FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, thermal treatment; possibly, mechanical engineering with aim of increasing service life of machine parts. SUBSTANCE: boron chromium plating is carried out in fluidized bed of pulverized mixture. Mixture composition is as follows (fraction of total mass, %): boron carbide 1-30.0; chromium chloride CrCl2 0.5- 10.0; aluminum fluoride 0.1-2.0; copper chloride CuCl2 0.1-3.0; corundum 55-98.3. Heating and impregnation are performed in ammonia atmosphere. Holding is carried out within 3-15 minutes under temperature of 300- 500 C. Impregnation is carried out under temperature of 600-1200 C. EFFECT: method allows quality of treated surface to be enhanced and time of treatment in impregnating mixture to be reduced. 1 tbl
