FIELD: specialized enterprise handling radioactive waste. SUBSTANCE: in correspondence with method samples of surface, ground and underground water, snow cover, soil are taken in zone of strict control, in sanitary-protective zone and in zone of observation of industrial enterprise. In addition check samples of soil and water from sections located outside of effect of given enterprise and not subject to contamination with tritium by other enterprises are taken. These samples are prepared, analyzed for content of tritium in liquid scintillation analyzer and data of analysis are processed. Results of analysis of samples taken from territory of industrial enterprise are compared with results of analysis of check samples taken from sections located outside of zone of effect of given enterprise and not subject to contamination with tritium by other enterprises. If sections with increased content of tritium in surface, ground and underground water and in snow cover are detected on territory of industrial enterprise then indices of specific activity of tritium are compared with level of intervention and their belonging to liquid radioactive waste is determined. If sections with increased content of tritium in soil are detected then their belonging to solid radioactive waste is determined. EFFECT: provision of authentic evaluation and tests of radioactive contamination of environment of industrial enterprise with tritium, diminished potential hazard of enterprise.
