FIELD: ecology. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking samples from environment (air, precipitation, sedimentations, snow, soil, industrial ground, bottom sedimentations, surface and underground water, flora) and measuring alpha and beta radiation in samples. When alpha or beta radiation in sample is greater than middle level by factor of two, samples are subjected to additional analysis which involve qualitative and quantitative analysis of nuclide content. Results of measurements are stored in analytical database. Electronic maps of field of radiation characteristics distribution are developed and radiation situation in region ecology is assessed. EFFECT: increased validity of assessing and monitoring. 1 tbl, 4 dwg
