FIELD: electrical engineering; flexible electric heaters for industrial and domestic use. SUBSTANCE: proposed electric heating device intended for installation in residential and non-residential premises, including in their floors, has electric heating element wherefrom any of its lengths can be separated and used in same mode of operation as complete heating element, and also it has current-conducting buses; electric heating element is made of nonmetal material, such as high-pressure polyethylene, whose volume resistance is 1•105 to 1•108 Ohm-cm, conducting buses being joined with opposite surfaces of electric heating element. The latter can be made in the form of cylindrical tube and conducting buses, in the form of electricity conducting layers applied to inner and outer surfaces of cylindrical tube, respectively; mentioned buses may be provided with slits. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced cost, enhanced reliability and electromagnetic safety of device. 4 cl, 7 dwg
