FIELD: electricity, means of fulfillment of current-conducting connections with the aid of a shrinked sleeve. SUBSTANCE: a posistor welding appliance is used as a hand tool for connection of cables. The sleeve is fitted on one of the parts to be connected so that its end would project from the sleeve. Then, the end faces of both parts of the cable are rested against a skid from different sides, melted down, the skid is removed, and the conductors of both parts of the cable are butt-shrinked. Then, the sleeve is moved, the posistor welding appliance is applied once more, the point of sleeve application shrinks and squeezes the welded cable conductors. EFFECT: cable parts are connected in a field. 1 dwg
