FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: polymer contains, in its main chain, 1-(o-cyanophenyl)-3- iminoisoindol motifs ensuring formation of high-strength, heat-resistant polymer matrix after heat treatment of polymer at 200-400 C. Heterocyclic thermoreactive polymer is obtained at 170-180 C by interaction of 52.9 wt parts 4,4'-(m- phenylenedioxy)diphthalonitrile, 50.0 wt parts 1,3-bis(3- cyano-4-aminophenoxy)benzene, and 10-30 wt parts 1,2- bis(cyanoethyl)carborane.
