FIELD: experimental hydrodynamics. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to field of experimental study and development of elements of propulsion complexes and power plants of submersible vehicles. In compliance with proposed technique of stop tests submersible vehicle is suspended from load rope with outboard framework at some depth and engine power is absorbed by brake disks mounted on hub instead of propeller screws. Profiled washer with drain ducts to model ring zone of relative rarefaction is mounted with axial clearance by face of front brake disk and water pressure is measured in interface clearance by transducers. Intake holes of drain ducts are directed towards interface clearance and are distributed over radius of washer. EFFECT: increased efficiency of stop tests, authenticity of obtained data and informativity of study. 2cl, 2 dwg
