FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; coolers for high-voltage machines such as turbogenerators. SUBSTANCE: cooler designed for high-voltage electrical machines rated at 110 kV and higher voltages has cast metal housing that follows shape of electric steel stampings of machine and accommodates metal cooling tubes. Cooler housing has enclosed slots whose quantity in core amounts to minimum half all the slots of stator core; water-cooling tubes passed over bridges forming enclosed slots are positioned so that they form different combinations both with respect to number of water- cooling tubes and as concerns their connection to drain and delivery headers. Cooler tubes are easily disposed over outline of enclosed slots at the same time retaining rated sectional area of tube inner passage at bends about slot; provision is made for reversing cooling water flow in tubes to ensure more effective cooling of stator core. EFFECT: enhanced mechanical strength of cooler due to bridges between housing slots and its operating efficiency. 8 cl, 6 dwg
