FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for synthesis of aliphatic propylene amines that are used for preparing pesticides, ion-exchange resins, hardening agents for polymers and in other fields. 1,2- and 1,3- Diaminopropanes are prepared from 1,2- or 1,3-dichloropropanes and ammonium an aqueous solution at increased temperature and pressure. In particular, waste from production of epichlorohydrin as a raw in the form of technical mixture of the following composition is used, wt.-%: 1,2-dichloropropane, 70-80; cis- and trans-isomers of 1,3-dichloropropene, 15-20; 1,1- and 1,2-dichloropropene, 2-10; perchloroethylene, 0.1-0.3. The raw mixture is subjected for interaction with 20-60% ammonium an aqueous solution heated preliminary to 90-100 C where dichloropropanes are dosed for 0.5-1.2 h in the mole ratio dichloropropanes : ammonia = 1.0:(1.6-3.8). Process is carried out at temperature 130-155 C, under pressure 0.8-2.5 MPa, in rotation rate of stirring device 600-3000 rev/min.
