FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a product which is decylamine and polydecylamines or dodecylamine and polydodecylamines, which can be used as a flotation agent and extractant when extracting non-ferrous and rare-earth metals from ores, bactericides, corrosion inhibitors and surfactants. Method is carried out on the basis of corresponding decyl- or dodecylchlorides and aqueous ammonia solution at high temperature and pressure. Method is characterized by that the reaction of decyl- and dodecyl chlorides is carried out with 71–75 % aqueous solution of ammonia with molar ratio of decyl- or dodecylchlorides and ammonia equal to 1:2–4, in the presence of a stabilizer N,N'-bis-{N-[(4-oxy-3,5-di-tert-butyl)benzyl]piperazinoethyl}ethylenediamine or 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenol which are used as a stabilizer. Stabilizer is taken in amount of 0.1–0.5 % of the weight of decyl chloride or dodecyl chloride. Process is carried out at temperature of 116–120 °C and pressure of 0.8–1.2 MPa for 2–4 hours, then the reaction mixture is held at 130–145 °C and pressure of 1.6–2.4 MPa for 2.5–3.5 hours with intensive mixing at a rotation frequency of the mixing device of 800–1200 rpm.
EFFECT: proposed method increases output of end products by reducing formation of by-products.
