FIELD: chemical and petrochemical industries; purification of liquids. SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a magnetic filter used for purification of liquids. The invention is pertinent to the devices of magnetic purification of liquids from ferromagnetic and mechanical impurities and may be used in chemical, petrochemical and other areas of an industry as well as in household activities, in particular, for purification of potable water. The magnetic filter for purification of liquids contains a cylindrical body with an inlet branch pipe, an outlet branch pipe and a lid for a filtering element fixation. The filtering element is placed along an internal surface of the body. The magnet system is located coaxially to the filtering element. It l consists of a ring-shaped permanent magnets fixed on a non-magnetic rod along the body axis without positive allowances, tightly to each other. They have been magnetized in a direction diametrical to the axis of the body. The poles of the adjacent magnets are displaced in respect to each other by 90 dg. The diameter and height of the ring-shaped magnets is chosen depending on a through-pass diameter of the body. Technical result is improvement of quality of liquids purification from ferromagnetic impurities and simplification of the design of the filtering element.
