RAIL FASTENING CATCHER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; permanent way. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of mechanization of working to be used at construction, maintenance and repair of track, namely, to devices for turning on and off nuts, and screwing in and out clamp and hook bolts by means of which rails are fastened to ties. Proposed catcher is essentially seeker rigidly secured on working member of device for handling rail fastenings. Smaller radius of seeker inner profile corresponds to outer diameter of clamp spring of rail fastening, and larger radius being conjugating radius between radii of spring clamps. To provide better seeking and fastening of catcher on clamp spring of rail fastening, seeker is installed at angle of 4- 13^o to horizontal. In process of seeking of rail fastening, seeker of proposed design is orientated on clamp spring of fastening and not on nut as in all existing designs. EFFECT: provision of reliable catching of rail fastenings of type ЖБР 65 and setting the wrench over entire height of nut head. 4 dwg
