FIELD: determination of spatial position of ionizing radiation. SUBSTANCE: detector has gas-filled body with input window clear for recorded radiation, anode filament with resistive working layer which both ends are connected to electric leads of detector, at least two shunting elements connected in parallel to working layer of anode filament in sections arranged on opposite sides relative to its middle point to create conditions of admittance in these sections of filament. Lengths of shunted sections of filament and their positions with reference to ends of working layer and one another are established from conditions of applicability of approximation methods to obtain authentic information on spectrum of recorded radiation along entire working layer of anode filament. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of recording of spatial distribution of ionizing radiation and improved reproducibility of measurement results. 4 cl, 3 dwg
