FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to two-stoke uniflow scavenging internal combustion engines with toroidal cylinders and pistons. Proposed engine includes housing with toroidal cylinders, two double-sided pistons arranged in toroidal cylinders and forming by their crowns, together with inner surfaces of cylinders, two opposite combustion chambers, two arms with double-sided piston connected to each arm, two shafts provided with cranks. Arm is connected to each crank to shaft. Two connecting rods are connected by their first ends with tenons of crankshafts and they convert to-and-fro rotation of shafts into rotation of engine output shaft. Housing is made in form of two toroidal segments interconnected by planes of segment cuts. Combustion chambers are located in places of connection of toroidal cylinders of segments. One double-sided piston is arranged in each toroidal segment. Piston is coupled through arm with shaft located along axis of toroidal segment.
