FIELD: cigarette industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is adapted for connecting grouped filtering pads and cigarettes by wrapping with connecting wrapping sheets having adhesive applied thereon of filtering pads and cigarette portions adjoining to filtering pad joint sites. Apparatus has movable roller surface, which defines in conjunction with roller surface joined thereto working gap for rolling of grouped articles therein and for accompanying wrapping of grouped articles with connecting wrapping paper sheets. Inlet plank is arranged at working gap inlet end adapted for causing gentle simultaneous rolling of grouped articles. Inlet plank is provided with transition portion arranged at side facing working gap and providing for directed displacement of grouped articles into working gap. Transition portion is made in the form of continuous guiding surface. As a result, cigarettes and filtering pads compiled into groups are smoothly delivered from transition portion after rolling initiated by inlet plank, with following displacement in gentle mode over continuous surface to working gap. EFFECT: increased efficiency by eliminating jumpwise displacement of grouped articles and provision for gentle movement thereof to working gap. 18 cl, 6 dwg
