FIELD: upholstered furniture production, in particular, transformation mechanism used in armchair-beds and sofa- beds. SUBSTANCE: transformation mechanism has at least two four-link transformable mechanisms, each composed of upper, lower, front and rear rotary links pivotally connected with one another. Transformation mechanism is equipped with angular brackets connected by beam, and releasing springs adapted for connecting of front and rear rotary links of equal size. When front and rear rotary links are in vertical position, releasing springs are in compressed state. When furniture is transformed to lying position, beam serves as support for user in seating position. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation and convenient use. 3 cl, 5 dwg
