FIELD: treatment plants.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns reconstruction of horizontal settlement tanks and can be applied in natural water clarification. Thin settlement elements in the form of horizontal pipes with slit perforation in lower and upper parts are mounted in the case of existing horizontal settlement tank at both sides of central part. Pipes in modules are set in checkered pattern to form cellular structure in cross-section. By pipe installation a zigzag gap connected to existing sediment accumulation and removal system is formed along external pipe contour. To form source water distribution system over tubular modules, vertical partitions are installed along central part of existing horizontal settlement tank. Collector chutes are mounted over tubular modules for periodic removal of floating impurities.
EFFECT: enhanced productivity of existing horizontal settlement tanks and water treatment efficiency.
