FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel tanks of vehicles operating on liquefied natural gas. Tank 1 is made in form of container for liquefied natural gas capable of withstanding internal pressure up to critical pressure of cryogenic fuel. Said container is placed in foam heat insulation 9. Tank can be made of two or more tubular containers-modules of smaller diameter enclosed in common heat insulation. Invention provides considerable increase of fuel reserve in tank after long parking of vehicle and convenient arrangement of tank on vehicle. EFFECT: reduced mass and cost. 4 cl, 8 dwg
