FIELD: cryogenic engineering; fuel reservoirs for various transport facilities (automobile transport, aircraft) or stationary reservoirs for storage of cryogenic fuels.
SUBSTANCE: proposed reservoir for storage of liquefied natural gas includes main tank made from aluminum alloy and heat-insulating layer made from foamed polyurethane. Second heat-insulating layer located above foamed polyurethane layer is made from composite material, reinforced glass fiber of glass-reinforced plastic for example.
EFFECT: increased time of storage of cryogenic fuel (propellant) without venting; enhanced operational reliability of cryogenic fuel (propellant) reservoirs.
