FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to meteorology, in particular to active influence to powerful convective clouds, and can be used to prevent showers, thunderstorms and hail which causes great economic losses. The development of powerful convective clouds is inhibited as follows. A potentially dangerous cloud is detected with ground radar. According to visual observations from aircraft a chain of convection cells supplying it is detected. An active influence on supplying convective cells and the main cloud is carried out not with crystallising reagents, but with flushing of portions of coarse-hygroscopic reagent from the top of the clouds to form downstream in them. At first, the entire chain of supplying convection cells is destroyed at any stage of their development. After that the development of the main cloud is suppressed.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of active influence on powerful convective clouds.
