FIELD: mechanical engineering; mechanization of processes. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in machines with stopping of working and actuating members. Proposed mechanism is made in form of lever triple-member mechanism including articulated crank and output member consisting of link and post. Link includes rigidly intercoupled S-shaped section for connecting with crank and movable rod mounted in two fixed guides. Shaped section is made in form of two rigidly intercoupled arcs, length of each arc being not less than length of quarter of circumference of radius equal to length of crank. Center of crank rotation is aligned with link movable rod travel line, centers of curvature of arcs forming shaped section are aligned with link movable rod travel line, and center-to-center distance is equal to double length of crank. During one revolution of crank, link covers distance equal to four lengths of crank, with two dwells in extreme positions. EFFECT: reduced dynamic loads and enlarged operating capabilities of mechanism. 4 cl, 4 dwg
