FIELD: analysis of metal coats. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to analysis of metal coats by usage of electrochemical dissolution of microsection of surface of specimen to establish target parameters. Process is realized by way of successive dissolution of sections of surface of specimen in drop of electrolyte. With this in mind face of probe is brought to surface to distance less than axial size of working drop, drop is entered into clearance between face and surface, dissolution is carried out and drop is returned into body of probe. Surface-active substance is injected into working solution of electrolyte beforehand to diminish value of surface tension of solution. Counterelectrode is positioned outside of probe so that its working surface at moment of measurement is in volume of drop at distance from surface of specimen lesser than working clearance. Counterelectrode can be fabricated in the form of wire, flat plate or hollow cylinder. EFFECT: expanded functional potential, raised informativity and reduced labor input to process. 3 cl, 1 dwg
