FIELD: analysis of metal coatings.
SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method and a device for determination of parameters of metal coatings and is dealt with analysis of metal plating. The method of determination of parameters of metal plating uses electrochemical dissolution of an assemblage of surface segments, to which a cathodic treatment precedes. The device for determination of parameters of plating, represents an electrochemical cell made in the form of a hollow cylinder provided with a movable piston system and contains a point with a calibrated orifice and a counter electrode, located directly in the capillary channel of the point. Processes of the dissolution and cathodic treatment are conducted separately in two electrochemical cells which are simultaneously lowered down on the controlled surface. A polarizing voltage is fed to the both cells. At that in the first cell there is a process of cathodic treatment, in the second cell there is a process of electrochemical dissolution of a coating, and simultaneously they fix an analytical signal. Then the voltage is cut off, the electrolyte is stirred, cells are lifted out and moved to the following sections of surface along the chosen direction of control so that the second cell is installed on the section, that was previously treated by the first cell. The technical result of the invention is an expansion of functionalities, raise of accuracy and productivity of the analysis.
EFFECT: the invention allows to expand functionalities, to raise accuracy and productivity of the analysis.
