FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device for integral coulometric control of the thickness of metallic electroplating with the subsequent electrochemical restoration is the electrochemical cell, made from plastic in the form of a hollow cylinder with a mobile piston system, which contains a cap with a calibrated hole and inert counter electrode, which is located immediately in the capillary channel of the cap, supplied with an auxiliary electrochemical cell. The counter electrode of the auxiliary cell is made from an electrochemically active material, which ensures the optimal conditions for the process of electrochemical restoration of the coating to take place. The diametres of the operating capillaries and the auxiliary cells are equal.
EFFECT: invention ensures widening of the functional capabilities of electrochemical sensors for controlling the thickness of metallic layers on different bases, an increase in technological effectiveness and ensuring quality of electroplating on microsegments of a coating which requires restoration.
