FIELD: study of corrosion properties of metal coats by electrochemical dissolving of micro-section of surface.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is performed by electrochemical dissolving of micro-section of surface of coat and pilot specimen followed by calculation of corrosion parameters. Electrochemical probe is lowered on surface of specimen and electrochemical process is continued during period of time sufficient for complete dissolving of coat at simultaneous recording of dissolution current; then, pilot specimen is subjected to dissolving during the same period of time at simultaneous recording of current and corrosion resistance is estimated as ratio of currents. Besides that, sections of coat and of pilot specimen of equal areas are subjected to dissolving. Used as pilot specimen is metal material corresponding to material of coat.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy; extended field of application.
