METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING MALE CARRIAGE OF MYCOPLASMA Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2229134 C2

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining M. hominis and U.urealyticum DNA in male patient reproduction tracts and evaluating chronic infection foci availability. No infectious agent being detected, M. hominis and U. urealyticum are determined in female patients regarded as permanent sexual partner for 3 months or longer period without barrier protection remedies being applied independently on if chronic foci being found or not. Positive PCR-test being the case, insemination and specific chronic infection foci availability are evaluated. Mycoplasma carriage being proved to be the case in woman with one positive PCR-test or urogenital mycoplasmosis under positive PCR-test, with urogenital tract insemination being revealed in 10(4) titer and higher then COE, single or several specific chronic infection foci being detected, mycoplasma carriage in male patient is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: high accuracy of diagnosis.
