SUBSTANCE: method involves positioning patient, setting power modes of filming, alternating X-ray examination in frontal and lateral projections with following picture recording and representation. X-ray examination in lateral projection is carried out at the same power modes as the frontal one. The required quality of a film is achieved by making approximation of brightness distribution density envelope on image brightness histogram averaged over an image set in the isosceles triangle form as , where r_in and r_out are the current values of the input and output brightness at the input and output of processing procedure, respectively; R₀ is the lower boundary for brightness range on the averaged histogram; R₁ is the brightness value corresponding to middle brightness range on the averaged histogram; F′(r_in) = F(r_in)-0,5; ; f(x) is the recorded brightness histogram image envelope.
