METHOD FOR NONINVASIVE DIAGNOSTICS OF HELICOBACTER INFECTION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2229714 C2

FIELD: medicine, gastroenterology. SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with nonionvasive predicting Helicobacter pylori (Hp) in the upper departments of human gastrointestinal tract. The method is based upon detecting Hp urease activity by applying a test preparation in the form of an aqueous solution of 13C-urea and citric acid. The method enables to detect either the presence or the absence of Helicobacter pylori in the upper departments of gastrointestinal tract by applying 13C-urea by 3-5 times less against the known noninvasive techniques. Moreover, due to registration of kinetic functions for the rate of 13C-isotope outflow with expired CO2 after the intake of a test preparation the significance of the data obtained is considerably higher against the single measurement 25-30 min after the intake of the above-mentioned test preparation. EFFECT: more simplified procedure of diagnostics. 4 dwg, 4 ex
