FIELD: acceleration engineering; generation of high-energy electron beams. SUBSTANCE: power system has storage capacitor 4 connected through thyristors 5 to windings 2 and 3 in series opposition. Field winding 2 is connected through diodes 6 to storage capacitor 4. Low-voltage dc power supply 7 is connected in parallel with choke 8 and field winding 2. High-voltage dc power supply 9 is connected through switch 10 and choke 11 in parallel with switching capacitor 12; the latter is connected through energy-input thyristor 13 to windings 2 and 3 connected in series opposition. Connected in parallel with winding 3 is equilibrium orbit radius correcting circuit that has parallel-interconnected correcting capacitor 14, resistor 15, and thyristor 16 of correction circuit. Capacitor 12 is connected in parallel with resistor 15 and thyristor 16 through switch 17. Such interconnection of system components makes it possible to use only two power supplies instead of three for feeding demagnetized-core betatron and provides for stabilizing and regulating kinetic energy of accelerated electrons due to connection of switch 10 to charging circuit of switching capacitor 12. EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced reliability, reduced mass and size of system. 1 cl, 4 dwg
