FIELD: medicine, pulmonology. SUBSTANCE: in children with different anthropometric data one should measure diaphragmatic excursions. One should calculate the coefficient of diaphragmatic mobility (CDM) as the ratio of average value of diaphragmatic excursions to the value of body length. At enhanced pathological process in case of bronchial asthma one should observe the decrease of functional diaphragmatic activity that leads to the decrease in CDM. Low CDM values indicate prolonged flow of severe bronchial asthma. The present innovation enables to precisely calculate functional diaphragmatic activity in different periods of the above-mentioned disease. EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction. 8 tbl
