FIELD: electrophysiological investigations preferably performed on laboratory animals' spinal cord and brain. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has detachable frame with transverse members connected for movement along longitudinal frame members. Animal fixing device is attached to lower part of frame longitudinal members. Frame has longitudinal shaped member for which mated shaped slots are provided in transverse member ends. Profile of shaped member is made from squares partly coinciding in corners along diagonal. Animal fixing device has hip bone clamp, spinous process clamp and vertebra body clamps, the latter being positioned for longitudinal and transverse displacement. Frame has axial cylindrical bores formed in ends of longitudinal members and designed for connection to standard stereotaxis and other additional units. Such construction allows frame top part to be free from fixing members and from rigid conjugation with other members. EFFECT: wider operating and operational capabilities and simplified construction. 5 dwg
