FIELD: devices for cooling of circulating water and commercial plants, in particular, water catchers used for catching and discharge of water in mechanical-draft and chimney-type towers. SUBSTANCE: the water catcher has V-shaped plates with a central flat section, and having a surface made in the form flat section, and having a surface made in the form of buckles forming the respective bulges on the opposite side of the plates assembled in a lattice by means of fixing members, made in the form of rods with a cross-section in the form of a polygon, and spacing members strung on the rods, inserted in the holes of the flat sections of the planes, made with a profile identical to the profile of the cross-section of the fixing members in the point of attachment, the spacing members are made in the form of shortened V-shaped plates with profile identical to the profiles of the hole of the flat section of the V-shaped plate and the cross-section of the fixing member, and having a surface made in the form of buckles forming the respective bulges on the opposite side of the plate, the spacing members are installed between the adjacent plates of the lattice and join with the outer side of the central flat section of the V-shaped plates the outer side of the central flat section of the V-shaped plates, and with the end-face sides - the inner surface of the V-shaped plates. The plates, fixing and spacing members of the water catcher are made of polymeric material with longitudinal grooves on its faces. The fixing members of the water catcher may be made in the form of rods representing pipes of polymeric material, with grooves made on their edges, in the cross-section the pipes may have the shape of a hexahedron and a different cross-section in length, the pipe profile in the maximum cross-section is made uniform, and in the minimum cross-section-with bulges on the sides.
