FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering. Drop catcher of cooling tower from secondary textile contains a block grid of vertically installed plates of U-shaped curvilinear profile, rigidly connected to each other by means of rods placed in holes of stops, each U-shaped curvilinear profile plate is formed by smooth curvilinear extreme sections conjugated with a smooth curvilinear middle section located between them, along the edge of each extreme section there is a smoothly conjugated with the last wave corrugation, facing the convexity towards the deflection of the U-shaped curvilinear profile, and in the center of the middle section of the U-shaped curvilinear profile there is a stiffening rib, note here that plates installation spacing in block grid makes 1.3 of U-shaped curvilinear profile depth, note here that nylon is used as raw material for U-shaped curvilinear profile plates.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce aerodynamic resistance, increase reliability of the device and efficiency of drop catching.
