FIELD: heat-exchange or heat-transfer apparatus.

SUBSTANCE: sectional vortex water catcher has curved baffles provided with the central opening for receiving rods, spacers with openings for rods interposed between them, and fastening members. The baffles are made of C-shaped swirlers. The spacers are made of bushings made of polymeric pipes whose length is equal to the radius of the cross-section of the baffle. The baffles are mounted to provide smooth increase of the cross-section of the passage for air-vapor flow from the inlet to the axis of symmetry of the baffle and its increase toward the outlet. This results in the generation of vortex flows in the passage space.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and prolonged service life.
