FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device to measure level of molten metal in mobile mould has upper, intermediate and lower forming circular sections, insulation layers separating given sections, first and second analog-to-digital converters, computation-indication unit. First and second potential transducers coming in the form of rods made of conducting refractory metal are installed in insulation layers. One end of each rod is dipped into slag bath. Second end of first rod is connected to one input of first analog-to-digital converter to which second input tap to measure potential made in the form of lower forming circular section is connected. Second end of second rod has lead-out connected to one input of second analog-to-digital converter to which second input lead-out of first rod is linked. Output of first analog-to-digital converter is connected to first input of computation-indication unit, output of second analog-to-digital converter is connected to second input of unit. EFFECT: enhanced measurement accuracy of level of molten metal in mobile mould. 2 dwg
