FIELD: special electrometallurgy, namely equipment for electroslag fusion. SUBSTANCE: crystallizer for electroslag fusion includes four water cooled sections arranged one over another. Upper section has electric current supply lead. Two lower sections are forming ones and they are not insulated one from another. Additional section between upper and lower sections is electrically insulated from those sections by means of insulation gaskets. Height of additional section while taking into account thickness values of insulation gaskets is no more than thickness of fused layer. Height of first forming section consists 0.5-0.7 of total height of forming sections. Electric current supply section has graphite protective lining on inner surface. EFFECT: possibility of electroslag fusion of articles at melting non-compact material in slag bath. 4 cl, 1 dwg
