FIELD: feed production, in particular, grain germination for obtaining of feed.
SUBSTANCE: method involves soaking grain in water and mixing with substrate, with bog moss ground into 1-3 cm long pieces being used as substrate, said substrate being used in an amount of 10-20 kg per 1 t of dry substance; mixing grain with substrate; laying mixture onto trays in 3-4 cm thick layers for grain germination. Method for germination of fodder grain on bog moss-based substrate provides for intensified and simultaneous emergence of sprouts owing to favorable water-air growing mode. Moreover, shrunk grains are prevented from damage owing to bactericidal and fungicidal effect of bog moss.
EFFECT: increased efficiency in producing of feed from fodder grain and improved quality of feed.
