FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: one should determine the total value for the level of light sensitivity in supranasal and supratemporal borders of vision area at 30 deg. against fixation point. It is necessary to successively measure patient's intraocular pressure (IOP) with the help of Maklakov's tonometers of 5 g - 7.5 g - 10 g - 15 g. At decreased total value of light sensitivity in supranasal border by 15% and higher against that of supratemporal border, at higher IOP being 20 mm mercury column and higher at measuring by a 5 g-tonometer at elastocurve range being 10 mm and higher one should diagnose glaucoma in patient's glaucomatous eye.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnostics.
