FIELD: medical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: medical radiation therapy system has radiator head, applicator which position is fixed relative to patient and unit for controlling radiator head position relative to the applicator. Soft link-up laser system has one or several sensory head units for determining radiator head position relative to the applicator and producing a single or several signals describing the actual position and visualization unit receiving the radiator head position signals and visualizing the radiator head position relative to the applicator. The radiator head position is adjustable on the basis of data read from the visualization unit to achieve the required disposition.
